How to zip or unzip files

  1. To make a ZIP, choose "Create a ZIP", add your files, name the archive, and press Create.
  2. To look inside a ZIP, choose "Open a ZIP" and pick the file.
  3. Save any single file from the list with its download button.

Questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. Files are zipped and unzipped in your browser, so nothing leaves your device.

Can I open RAR or 7z files?

Not yet. This tool opens standard ZIP files, including ones made by Windows, macOS, and most apps.

Can I open password-protected ZIP files?

No. Encrypted ZIP files need their password and a different decryption method, which this tool does not support.

Which compression should I choose?

Normal suits most files. Photos, videos, and PDFs are already compressed, so "None" is fastest for them and the ZIP will be almost the same size either way.
