How to convert an image
- Drop an image onto the box or choose one from your device.
- Pick the format you need: WebP, JPEG, or PNG.
- Lower the quality or size to make the file smaller. The new size updates right away.
- Download the converted image.
Your browser decides which formats it can read. All modern browsers open PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, and BMP.
Questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. The image is decoded and re-encoded on a canvas inside this browser tab. It never leaves your device.
Which format should I pick?
WebP gives the smallest files and works in all modern browsers. JPEG is best when a program or website does not accept WebP. PNG keeps every pixel exactly, which suits screenshots and logos.
What happens to transparent areas?
WebP and PNG keep transparency. JPEG cannot store it, so transparent areas become white.
Is photo metadata kept?
No. Converting removes EXIF data such as camera details and GPS location, which is useful before sharing photos.
