How to resize images

  1. Choose one or more images, or drop them onto the box.
  2. Pick how to resize: to a width, to a height, or by percentage. Each thumbnail shows the new size.
  3. Choose the format and quality, then press Resize.

One image downloads directly; several come as a ZIP file. File names get the new dimensions added, such as holiday-1280x853.jpg, so you never overwrite the original.

Questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. Resizing happens in your browser, so you can resize private photos and documents safely.

Will the resized image look blurry?

No. The tool uses Lanczos resampling, the high-quality method photo editors use, so edges stay crisp when you make images smaller. It never makes images larger, because enlarging only adds blur.

Can I resize many images at once?

Yes. Add as many as you like; they are all resized with the same settings and downloaded together as a ZIP file.

What size should I use?

For websites and email, 1280 to 1920 pixels wide is plenty. For social media profile pictures, 400 to 800 pixels is common. Online forms often ask for images under a certain file size; choose JPG and "Small file" to get there.

Is the photo metadata kept?

No. Resized images do not keep EXIF data such as camera details or GPS location. The orientation is applied, so photos stay upright.
