How to make an invoice
- Enter your details and your customer’s. Add your logo and choose a style, paper size, accent color, and currency.
- Add one line per item with a quantity, a unit price, and optional tax and discount percentages. Totals update as you type.
- Check the preview, then press Download PDF. Use Save draft to keep it for later, or Start next invoice to reuse your details with the next number.
Put your bank or payment details in the payment box and your terms in the notes. Your working invoice is remembered when you come back; nothing is sent to a server.
Questions
Is my invoice data uploaded?
No. The PDF is created in your browser. Customer names, prices, bank details, and your logo never leave your device. The working invoice and saved drafts are kept in your browser’s local storage only.
Is this a legally valid invoice?
It gives you a clean, complete layout, but the rules for what an invoice must contain (tax numbers, sequential numbering, wording such as "VAT invoice") differ by country. Check your local requirements or ask your accountant, and keep a copy of every invoice you send.
How are tax and discounts calculated?
Each line is quantity times unit price, minus the line discount in percent, then tax in percent is added on that discounted amount. Lines are rounded to the currency’s smallest unit, so the printed lines always add up to the total. Taxes are listed per rate.
Does it work with names and addresses in other languages?
Yes. The PDF uses Noto Sans, which covers Latin (including Central and Eastern European and Vietnamese), Cyrillic, and Greek letters. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and Hebrew text is not supported and shows as "?".
Where do my drafts go?
Drafts are saved in this browser on this device. They disappear if you clear site data or use a private window, and they do not sync to other devices. Download the PDF to keep a permanent copy.
