How to convert a video
- Drop a video onto the box or choose one from your device.
- Pick the format to convert to. Choose MP3, M4A, OGG, WAV, or FLAC to keep only the sound.
- Optionally lower the resolution or quality to make the file smaller.
- Press Convert, then download the result. Use Cancel to stop at any time.
MP4 is the safest choice for phones, editors, and social sites. WebM suits web pages and keeps files small. Resolution only ever scales videos down: a 4K video can become 1080p, but a 720p video is never stretched.

Questions
Is my video uploaded?
No. The conversion runs inside this browser tab using your device. The file is never sent to a server.
Which files can it open?
MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM, and MKV, plus MPEG-TS and audio files. Old formats such as AVI, WMV, and FLV are not supported. Your browser must also be able to decode the video inside the file; H.264, VP9, and AV1 work in most current browsers.
Why do some conversions finish in seconds?
When the video and audio inside the file already suit the new format, such as H.264 and AAC from MOV to MP4, they are copied over without re-encoding. That is instant and loses no quality. Choose a resolution or a quality other than Original to force a re-encode.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no fixed limit, but the finished file is held in your device memory. Files of a few gigabytes may fail on phones and older computers; closing other tabs helps.
Why does it say my browser is missing a feature?
The converter uses WebCodecs, which current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari include. Older browsers do not have it, so update your browser and reload the page.
