How to add text or a watermark to a video

  1. Drop a video on the box. A preview appears.
  2. Choose Text and type your words, or choose Logo or image and pick a file.
  3. Set the size, color, outline, opacity, and where it sits on the picture. Check the preview as you go.
  4. Optionally limit it to part of the video, then press Add to video and save.

Sizes are relative to the video, so the same settings look right on a small clip and on a 4K one. For subtitles that change over time, use Burn Subtitles into Video.

Questions

Is my video or logo uploaded?

No. The video and the logo are read and combined inside this browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server.

Can I show the text for only part of the video?

Yes. Check Show only during part of the video and set when it appears and disappears. Use the Appears here and Disappears here buttons to take the time from the preview.

Can I use a logo with a transparent background?

Yes. PNG, WebP, and SVG images keep their transparency, so only the visible part of the logo is placed on the video. Lower the opacity to make it subtle.

Does adding a watermark lower the video quality?

The video is encoded again with the overlay drawn into every frame, using a high quality setting. The loss is small, and the text or logo can no longer be removed from the saved file.

Which formats are supported?

You can open MP4, MOV, WebM, and MKV files that your browser can play, and save the result as MP4 or WebM. The sound is kept unless you uncheck it.
